Staff Management | SMX and SIMOS Solutions win silver Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Award

Staff Management | SMX and SIMOS Solutions were honored on Aug. 19 with a silver Brandon Hall Group Human Capital Management (HCM) Excellence award for Best Advance in Employee Engagement in the Talent Management category. The TrueBlue companies won for their Stafftrack® mobile app and workforce management solution.

In 2020, the firms saw an opportunity to improve engagement among frontline manufacturing, warehouse and light industrial associates by launching a new Stafftrack mobile app, using focus groups and feedback from the very associates who would use it. Because Stafftrack powers the companies’ onsite staffing models and brings in the right people at the right time, maintains fill rate percentages above 90% and helps customers find workers, manage the workforce, ensure compliance and predict future staffing trends, among other analytics, it made sense to build a function that would help associates get the most out of their work. The result was 15,000 downloads and increased client and worker satisfaction at a crucial time — the peak season ramp up into the holidays.

The user-friendly tool allows associates to pick up shifts, review attendance points and refer people for open positions and search for open jobs. It also allows them to view their pay stubs and communicate with their managers and client teams. By helping drive referrals and reduce attendance issues, it helps improve the relationship between the staffing firms and customers, and by making work easier for associates, it improves engagement by giving the workers insight into their schedule, time and pay, enabling them to work more efficiently, while improving retention and fill rates and reducing recruitment costs.

Improved engagement with associates not only increased their satisfaction and desire to stay with the company, but it also allowed Staff Management | SMX and SIMOS Solutions to learn from them as well, driving operational improvements through surveys, direct feedback and suggestions. It also helped the firms’ local service teams work more efficiently through enablement of employee self-service tools.

This is the second time the companies have won a Brandon Hall Group award, after a Bronze Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology award in 2020.
