SIMOS Q2 2023 Supply Chain & Retail Report

August 10, 2023

After multiple years of high volatility, the supply chain seems to be returning to more normal conditions at the close of the second quarter. The biggest indicators of this are in supplier delivery times and shipping rates. All things considered, they seem to be returning to pre-pandemic levels. Supplier delivery times are the best they’ve been since July 2019 and shipping rates are their lowest since September 2020.

This is due to the pressure of increased demand during the pandemic beginning to ease. The second half of the year may present some challenges, but things are looking up. A return to historic seasonality in the second half will be a sign of a true return to normal.
